From my initial appointment with Professor Pradan, I felt so lucky to of found such a good surgeon. He diagnosed my root cause, which had been missed all my life, leaving me to suffer for years! Eight weeks later, I had my first hip replaced, then 11 weeks after that my second hip! The care I received at Spire was amazing. It's been a real journey for me and I have felt listened too and cared for at every moment. My new hips are now arthritis free!! I am looking forward to continuing my recovery and getting to live my life to the full. I have never walked so straight in all my life!! A big thank you to Prof Pradhan and all the team at the Spire Cheshire Hospital.  It's only seven weeks since my left hip replacement, but I can already walk long distances (and sleep again!) without any pain, and my new hip joint feels strong and secure.
I have been impressed with my experience before, during and after my stay.  Prof Pradhan was kind and reassuring, explaining everything clearly... and the nursing, physio, housekeeping and admin staff at the hospital, and the anaesthetist, were also considerate and professional, reassuring me and checking in on me regularly to ensure I was OK. I was treated with respect and dignity at all times. My worries and concerns were addressed and explaination given prior to surgery .
I was concerned at having both knees replaced at the same time because of the difficulties of walking  afterwards.
All I can say the first two weeks were difficult and you must do your physio excercises as instructed. Things started to get alot easier and I was soon walking around with just one crutch.
Two months on I am almost back to normal walking, the pain I had suffered prior to surgery has gone and I am resuming a normal life and able to play with the grandchildren again.
I don't have the worry  of further surgery months down the line as I would have had if I had my knees done individually.

I have no hesitation in recommending Professor Prahdan is exemplary I have had two total knee replacements with Professor Prahdan last one being 16th October 2023 He made me feel totally at ease he is a kind ,caring consultant who explains everything to you I was very pleased with my overall experience from start to finish. I have just recently had a total knee replacement performed by Professor Nikhil Pradhan. The overall service from the reception to the nursing staff and post op with the physiotherapy throughout  has been exceptional.
The procedure itself was completed with the utmost professionalism from the anaesthetists to the professor himself performing the surgery. My procedure was completed with professor Pradhan using the robotic arm assist which has given me my my life back after many years of pain with arthritis due to a previous injury sustained in the military and having two ACL reconstructions. I am post op two months and have over 120 degrees of bend and can walk without pain for long distances.
I cant thank the spire the staff and the professor enough for giving me my life back.

I started to suffer badly with my left hip, to the level that I was convinced I was walking with bone on bone grating. I was using a stick to offset the pressure on my hip. After years in heavy industry this did not surprise me as both knees were bad and also my back.
I asked my doctor for a referral to Prof Pradhan as he had done both my wife's hips during various lockdowns with great results.
Prof Pradhan checked me over and decided there was no need to replace the joint and gave me an injection under Xray there and then. The result was not quite instantaneous but within 2 days I was back to my 40's (I am 74). The treatment has taken the pain from my hip, both knees and my back which so far continues after 3 months and has brought back a joy to life.
Prof Pradhan is professional but with a sense of humour.
