Sports Injury

A sporting injury can result in major or minor damage to the bone and soft tissues.

Bone injury

Break in the bone (fracture) requires treatment in plaster or fixation with surgery. The time taken to full recovery depends on the severity of the injury.

Bony contusion (Bone bruise) can be very painful and requires physiotherapy and sometimes surgical decompression. Please enquire for further details.

Meniscal Injury

Meniscal Tear is a common type of Knee injury. It can be repaired or trimmed depending on the complexity and site of the tear. This is performed via Knee Arthroscopy (key-hole surgery) and is usually a day-case procedure. Please enquire for further details.

Ligament injury

There are multiple ligaments in and around the Knee joint. These can be “strained” or “Torn” whilst playing sports. An MRI scan is the best way to diagnose these injuries. Once diagnosed treatment depends on severity of the injury and could include surgery and physiotherapy.
